Who Cardinal Woodcraft is
Cardinal Woodcraft began as a small furniture maker in Elmira, Ontario. It is still based in the same area today and now supplies dealers across Canada. Local Mennonite craftspeople custom-design and handcraft each piece using locally sourced wood, so every table and chair carries on a long tradition of Ontario woodworking.
Cardinal specializes in custom solid wood dining furniture, including tables, chairs and sideboards. Its tables range from relaxed kitchen tables to large formal dining tables in many shapes and sizes, with chairs and sideboards built to match. You can learn more on our Cardinal Woodcraft partner page.
Cardinal dining pieces at Oak Unlimited
Our Cardinal Woodcraft dining collection page features styles such as Madrid, Tuscany and Black Sea. Floor models change as pieces sell, so contact us if you would like to see a particular piece before you visit.
Tables
Cardinal tables come in rectangular, round, pedestal and trestle styles, in sizes for a cozy kitchen or a large family dining room. Since every table is custom made, you can match the size to your room instead of choosing from a handful of fixed lengths.
Chairs
Comfort matters most in the chairs, so it is worth sitting in them. Cardinal offers solid wood chairs as well as upholstered options, and trying them at the table shows you how the seat height, back angle and arm style feel over a long meal.
Sideboards and buffets
A matching sideboard or buffet adds valuable storage for dishes, linens and serving pieces. Cardinal builds its sideboards to coordinate with its tables in the same wood and stain, so the whole room feels pulled together.
Customizing a Cardinal dining set
Cardinal builds every piece to order, which means you choose the table size and shape, the wood, the stain and the chair style. Mark and Denise help you measure your room, compare stain samples and match chairs to your table, then place the order with Cardinal, whose craftspeople do the building.
